Lennon and McCartney’s “The Fool on the Hill” is the second single being released from the upcoming recording “Eclecticism” by Bill Warfield and the Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra on Blujazz, October 7th, 2026. The tune, arranged by bandleader, trumpeter Bill Warfield is somewhat reminiscent of the version by the Sergio Mendez in 1967. The new release features a sublime vocal by Ms. Jasia Ries, a reflective piano solo by Ms. Cecilia Coleman. The cut also features a few subtle but good-natured political references for those who value that sort of thing.
“The Fool on the Hill” by the HKFO is available on all streaming plaXorms, CD Baby and on Bill’s website, billwarfield.net/music-store
